Is shore diving good for new divers?

Yes on the easy sites: sandy entries, shallow reefs, no current. Bonaire and Curacao are ideal. You need to navigate back on your own, so a compass and a buddy who can use it are essential.

How many dives a day?

As many as your no-deco time and energy allow. Three or four is common; six happens. Nitrox is worth having. Keep an eye on the total; shore diving fatigue creeps up on you.

Where are the best shore diving trips?

Bonaire is the benchmark with more than 60 marked sites. Curacao, Grand Cayman, Dahab in the Red Sea, and Maui's west coast are all strong.
